Material 2.1247, also known as CuBe2, CW101C or C17200, belongs to the group of beryllium copper alloys. This alloy offers a unique combination of very high tensile strength, hardness and wear resistance together with excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. CuBe2 is widely used in electrical engineering, tooling, aerospace and precision engineering for spring contacts, connectors, switches, mould components and non-sparking tools. By proper heat treatment, its mechanical strength can be significantly increased, making 2.1247 a preferred choice for demanding high-performance applications.
