2.4711 - Phynox / CoCr20Ni15Mo7 / F1058 / R30003
Description
Material 2.4711 (Phynox / CoCr20Ni15Mo7 / F1058 / R30003) – Cobalt Alloy Properties and Applications
Material 2.4711, commercially known as Phynox or Elgiloy, is a cold-work hardenable cobalt-chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy offering an exceptional combination of strength, elasticity, and corrosion resistance. Phynox demonstrates outstanding resistance to oxidation, acids, and seawater, along with high fatigue and relaxation resistance even at elevated temperatures. It is widely used in medical devices, aerospace components, watchmaking, and precision engineering for springs, implants, diaphragms, clips, and valve parts. The alloy is non-magnetic, maintains excellent dimensional stability, and performs reliably under dynamic stress conditions.
