2.4856 - Inconel® / NiCr22Mo9Nb / B446/Alloy 625 / N06625

Description

Material 2.4856 (Inconel® / NiCr22Mo9Nb / B446 / Alloy 625 / N06625) – Nickel-Based Alloy Properties and Applications

Material 2.4856, also known as Inconel® 625 or NiCr22Mo9Nb, is a corrosion- and heat-resistant nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy. It offers exceptional strength, excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance, and outstanding durability in chloride-containing and marine environments. 2.4856 is widely used in aerospace components, chemical processing, offshore structures, exhaust systems, and reactor technology. Strengthened by niobium and molybdenum, Alloy 625 provides excellent fatigue, creep, and rupture strength up to around 1000 °C, combined with remarkable stability under thermal and mechanical stress.

Material group: Heat- and corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloys
