2.4867 - Resistance alloy / NiCr 60-15 / N06004
Description
Material 2.4867 (NiCr 60-15 / N06004) – Heating Element Alloy Properties and Applications
Material 2.4867, also known as NiCr 60-15, is a nickel-chromium heating element alloy containing approximately 60 percent nickel and 15 percent chromium. It offers excellent oxidation resistance, stable electrical resistivity, and outstanding performance at continuous service temperatures up to about 1200 °C. 2.4867 is mainly used for electric heating elements, resistors, industrial furnaces, heating coils, and household appliances. Thanks to its superior thermal stability and corrosion resistance in oxidising atmospheres, the alloy ensures long service life and uniform heat distribution under demanding thermal cycling conditions.
