2.4869 - Resistance alloy / NiCr 80-20 / N06003

Description

Material 2.4869 (NiCr 80-20 / N06003) – Heating Element Alloy Properties and Applications

Material 2.4869, also known as NiCr 80-20, is a nickel-chromium heating element alloy containing approximately 80 percent nickel and 20 percent chromium. It provides excellent oxidation resistance, stable electrical resistivity, and superior corrosion resistance at continuous operating temperatures up to around 1200 °C. 2.4869 is widely used in resistance wires, heating elements, industrial furnaces, heating tapes, drying units, and domestic appliances. Its high thermal stability, uniform heat distribution, and resistance to thermal cycling ensure a long service life and reliable performance under demanding heating conditions.

Material group: Nickel-chromium heating element alloys
