Material CuZn42, also known as CW510L or C28500, belongs to the group of lead-free copper-zinc alloys (brass). Containing about 42% zinc, this alloy combines good strength, excellent corrosion resistance and outstanding formability. CuZn42 is widely used for fittings, precision turned parts, valve components, sanitary products and electrical connectors where lead-free materials and high-quality surfaces are required. The alloy offers good cold workability, tightness and machinability, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional leaded brasses.
